Going to Trim Castle

Welcome to Trim Castle! Like Bective Abbey, most Americans would know this castle for its use in the filming of Braveheart . . . though not as obviously as the abbey. Looking at the castle, you probably won't recognize it as the set for York, the first English city William Wallace attacked on his invasion of England. The reason for this is that fake stone was used to "repair" the castle. Real reparations are currently underway. Note once more how the above sign is in both Gaelic and English.

This is a cannon that sits outside Trim Castle (which it to the right of us). This is Mark Hatcher (a friend of the family who's like family), my mom, me, and my dad.
